Every week, here at Mama Cranberry’s, I send out a fun little newsletter. It’s full of news from the previous week, some fun behind the scene’s action, and an Inspirational Quote, Poem or Story. From time to time I think we all need a little dose of Inspiration, even if it’s just to bring a smile. These are a few of my favorites.
Drawing Inspiration From Nature
This first one is a tree I noticed while I was out hiking in the Black Hills this spring. The rock formations in this area tend to break apart. In this case, exposing how the roots of the tree had adapted and grown to find water and stability.
I love flowers, and this spring I was blessed to be able to spend a great deal of time outside tending my flower beds. I was certainly enjoying a little sunshine, freedom and the flowers. The flowers in this photo were taken in Hawaii, while we were on vacation.
For the photo in this next one, I followed my son up a rather large hill while we were in Yellowstone National Park. The views were well worth the effort. The sunset was amazing!
Finding Inspiration While Travelling
Travelling is one of my most favorite things to do. This year has been amazing in that regard. Not only did I get to go back to Hawaii, but I also logged over 7,000 miles in road trips. I enjoyed spending time in Yellowstone, Seattle, Idaho, Colorado and Minnesota.
From our very first trip when I got to swim with the dolphins, Hawaii has been a huge source of inspiration for me.
Journey Through Life
At the start of this year, I started a whole new life journey. I was able to fully close out the last chapter of my professional life. Then was handed a blank page to start this next chapter. I have been blessed to have the financial stability and time needed to spend this year discovering what I really want out of life. While I’m still discovering, I have learned to appreciate the journey.
The photos here are not mine, but are Creative Common Use ones from Pixabay.com. A great place to look for photos and illustrations that are free to use. The quote from John Steinbeck really hit home for me, as part of my journey is learning that I can make it my own. I do not have to follow the roads of “should do” to live a fulfilled, happy life.
With almost a full year behind us, there have been many more doses of inspiration shared. However, I do believe we have run out of space today. If you have not yet signed up for Mama Cranberry’s newsletter, to receive your weekly inspiration, you can do so here.
I hope you have found a little something here to brighten your day. Feel free to share any of these inspirational quotes.
